Hey, I'm Leo. I live right here in the area, and I started cny.life for one simple reason: it can be surprisingly hard to meet new people and figure out what to do in Central NY.
The usual friend-finding apps are basically ghost towns outside of the big cities, and most of the recommendations you find online try to send you all the way out to Syracuse.
So, I'm building a simple, active group chat just for us the people who live within a 30-minute drive of Utica, NY. No algorithms, not some big company, just us. Just a place to see who is grabbing a drink tonight, find a trivia team, or hear about a local band playing this weekend. Not your speed? As an introvert and anxious around new people person just looking to connect, this is a safe space for everyone.
